3 miksy (a właściwie 6 bo Mary Anne Hobbes zaprosiła aż trzech, młodych i gorących producentów L.D., Pangaea i Clouds do swojej audycji), i trzy nieco inne podejścia do basu.
Zaczynam od najważniejszego, czyli audycja Maryśki z 22 październia 2008r. Jak zwykle doskonała selekcja i 3 niesamowite miksy zwieńczone fantastycznym sonicznym spektaklem Clouds. Jak powiedział jeden z prowadzących audycję w fińskim radiu Helsinki Subconscious - "Nie wiem co ci kolesie jedzą, jakie mają zwyczaje żywieniowe, ale chętnie spróbowałbym tego samego". Fińscy mistrzowie dubstepu produkują zadziwiające utwory, można powiedzieć, że zakochałem się w ich muzyce od pierwszych dźwięków. Ich muzyka, pełna pasji i emocji, lokująca się na obrzeżach dubstepu przemawia do mnie wyjątkowo mocno. Oprócz Clouds, w audycji usłyszymy świetny miks L.D. - młodego producenta z południowego Londynu współpracującego z z takimi tuzami jak Mala, Cluekid, Benga czy Kode 9. A zeby tego było mało, jeszcze Pangaea - współwłaściciel ultra-gorącego labelu Hessle Audio. Uff, nie wiem czy nie za dużo jak na jedną audycję.
3 mixes (actually 6 mixes, because Mary Anne Hobbes invited three, young and hot producers L.D., Pangaea and Clouds to her show ), and three slightly different approaches to heavy bass.
I will start from the highlights, i.e. Mary Anne's show of 22 October 2008. As ususal, a superb selection and 3 extraordinary mixes crowned with a fantastic sonic spectacle of Clouds . As one of the Dj's in Finnish Helsinki Subconscious radio said - "I don't know, what these guys (i.e. Clouds) are eating or what are they eating habits, but I want to try the same ". Finnish champions of dubstep produce astounding music, I fell in love with their music from the first hearing. Their music, full of passion and emotions, located at the furthest fringes of dubstep appeals to me with extreme force. Apart from the Clouds, in the show we had a great mix by L.D. - a young producer from South London, cooperating with such dubstep icons as Mala, Cluekid, Benga or Kode 9. And that's not all! We still have to mention a mix by Pangaea - co-owner of ultra-hot Hessle Audio label. Uff, too much for one show really!

Kolejny mix to Fluxuorius autorska Fluxu8. Łatwy i przyjemny glitch hop z niezłymi przestrzeniami, wokalami i lazer basowymi podkładami.
Another mix is Fluxuorius by Fluxu8. Nice and easy, glitch hop with spacey sound textures and hip-hop rants built on lazer bass foundation.

Na koniec Drop the Lime i War is in the bass mix. Członek ekipy Trouble & Bass. Przyznaję, że mimo całego hype otaczającego Drop the Lime, głównie za sprawą remiksów, jakoś wolę innego członka tej ekipy czyli Mathhead’a. A jednak ta mieszanka bastard elektro, heavy bassu, bassline, dubstepu, i paru innych rzeczy, mimo iż toporna, daje konkretnego kopa, do pracy jak znalazł. Generalnie zauważam bardzo fajny trend, nawet produkcje elektro i mash’upy zaczynają coraz częściej ciążyć w stronę heavy basu, co mnie bardzo cieszy.
And the last mix for today: Drop the Lime - War is in the bass mix. A member of hte Trouble & Bass crew. To be honest, despite the hype and cult status of Drop the Lime, mainly thanks to various remixes, I somehow tend to prefer another member of this group, namely Mathhead. But still, this mixture of bastard electro, heavy bass, bassline, dubstep and a few other things, despite being quite crude, kicks ass as hell. Quite usefule at work, believe me.
In general, I've noticed quite a nice trend recently, that more and more electro and mash-up productions is leaning towards heavy bass, which is a very positive sign.
