Świetny news. Właśnie ukazała się Split-EP „This Troy” zawierająca 7 kawałków dwóch producentów heavy-bass / breakstepowych z Caracas w Wenezueli (Tak, tak, Kraju Boga Chaveza) - czyli Pacheko i Cardopusher. Cardopusher, oprócz częstych występów na balangach za deckami, udzielał się już na kilku wydawnictwach, m.in. Hyperdub (remiks kawałka Homeless wydanego na ww. EP). Pacheko natomiast ostro kolaboruje m.in. z baronem ciężkiego basu i autorem fantastycznych remisów i kolejnym moim ulubionym producentem, czyli Starkey’em. Czyż może być lepsza rekomendacja?

Połączenie ciężkiego dubstepowego basu, połamanych bitów, z wkręcającą, momentami synth-popową linią melodyczną, daje zaskakująco potężny efekt. Oby więcej takich nagrań.

Great news. Split-EP „This Troy”, including 7 tracks of two heavy-bass / breakstep producers from Caracas, Venezuela (Yes, the Land of God Chavez) - Pacheko and Cardopusher has been just released. Cardopusher has been already involved in a few released, among others on Hyperdub label (a remix of Homeless, which is one of the tracks on the aforementioned EP). Pacheko is heavily collaboration, with none other but the don of heavy bass and author of fantastic remixes and at the same time one of my favorite producers at the moment, namely Starkey’em. I can think of no better recommendation.
I have followed the work of this duo, since hearing them on an absolutely smashing mixtape pacheko & cardopusher - tranquera_mixtape recorded for tranquera.org
I immediately fell in love with Green Bull by Pacheko, and now the guys are releasing this track (in digital format) along a few others for Mashit label run by DJ C (Jake Trussell).
On Mashit website http://www.mashit.com/2008/12/09/thistroy/ you can preview tracks and get more info about the release. I really encourage you to give it a try. It is really worth checking. A combination of heavy, dubstep bass, broken beats, with kicking, synth-pop melodies, produces a surprisingly strong effect. I am really looking forward to more tracks of this in the future.
